This may need to be taken apart into an example and an explanation but for now both will live here.

When you you take damage (someone nets successes on a roll to cause you harm) you will take wounds. Something, likely a new Attribute I will be calling Armor will determine how much damage you take. My current though is that successes on damage/tougness=new wounds though this is subject to change. These should be listed on a wounds list rather than the backgrounds list as they can kill you.
